Working together to help identify strengths, areas to grow and supporting your practice. Jo allows supervisees to drive their development through support and challenge, considering all areas of their practice. Jo works using an integrative framework so can support a range of mental health professionals, psychotherapists and counsellors.
Jo has experience of working with young people and adults in NHS Services, charity services, EAP providers and private practice. Jo has vast experience in working with adolescents from 16 years upwards, clients exploring sexuality and gender difficulties, LGBTQ+ related issues, and those struggling with self-esteem issues, as well as those presenting with varying presentations of anxiety or low mood. Jo also delivers training to charities and private providers including awareness of working with LGBTQ+ clients, improving self esteem, working with Long Term Conditions and supporting counsellors to work with anxiety. Jo also regularly attends additional training to develop her skills, more regularly these have included CBT for Eating Disorders, working with traumatic loss, self-esteem, psychosexual issues, and understanding ADHD and Autism. Jo also delivers a variety of training to organisations and individuals including working with LGBTQ+ clients, working with young people, evidence based approaches to self-esteem and considerations for counsellors working with anxiety.
